Register Your AED with the National Ambulance Service
An unregistered AED is invisible to the 112/999 dispatch system. In a cardiac arrest, NAS dispatchers can only direct bystanders to AEDs they know about. Registration takes 2 minutes and is completely free.

Why Registration Matters
Every registered AED becomes a resource available to the 112/999 dispatch system
Thousands of AEDs across Ireland are registered with the National Ambulance Service to support emergency dispatch — but many more remain invisible to the system. Is yours registered?
Dispatchers Can Find Your Device
When someone collapses near your building, NAS dispatchers can direct the caller to your AED while the ambulance is en route. An unregistered AED stays invisible to this system. If a cardiac arrest occurs 100 metres from your device, NAS dispatchers may not know it exists.
Every Second Counts
Survival rates from cardiac arrest fall sharply with every minute that passes without defibrillation. Getting a nearby AED into action sooner can be the difference between life and death.
Part of Responsible AED Ownership
Installing an AED is only half the job. Registration, maintenance, and keeping consumables in date are all part of your duty of care as an AED owner or workplace manager.
